Tom stopped suddenly. %u201cThis is where I saw Injun Joe,%u201d he said.They searched and soon, Tom shouted, %u201cLook, here%u2019s the cross!%u201d On the wall of the cave was a black cross.%u201cYou%u2019re right! That%u2019s the cross!%u201d said Huck.%u201cLet%u2019s dig under the cross,%u201d Tom said.They dug and dug until they found a small room. Inside, there was an old bed, some candles, and bottles. And there, they saw the treasure box! They opened it, and inside were gold and silver coins.%u201cWe%u2019re rich, Tom! We%u2019re rich!%u201d shouted Huck. %u201cThis is amazing!%u201dThe boys took the treasure to Aunt Polly%u2019s house. Many people in St. Petersburg saw the boys carrying the treasure and followed them.
